The service
Meals by Kira connects donors with pet nonprofits (shelters, rescues, foster networks). The lab/demo product may use practice payment modes when live processor keys are not configured.
Gifts
Donors may fund named pets or partner needs. There is no maximum gift amount in product policy. Card data is handled by payment providers when live; demo mode does not charge a card.
Free donations retired · 410 requires checkout · rate-limited residual · live money human-GO only. Checkout, OTP, and retired free-donation APIs use no-store so gift traffic is not CDN-cached. Free donations stay retired — OTP-gated checkout only. Live money remains human-GO only.
Partners
Organizations apply and are manually verified before full portal access. Misrepresentation may result in suspension.
Too many applications show Wait ~Ns. Limits never confirm whether an email is registered, never charge a card, and never enable live money — human-GO only. Donors use Donate without an org account.
Changes
Lab builds may change without notice. Do not rely on demo mode for production fundraising until live payment rails and counsel-reviewed policies are enabled. Live production money requires explicit owner GO.
